Location

Debrecen, the second biggest town of Hungary, lies only 37 km far from the Hortobagy Puszta, which is also included in UNESCO's World Heritage List. Grand Hotel Aranybika **** is situated in the heart of Debrecen, near the Reformed Church. The distance from Budapest is 220 km – M3 and M35 motorways – which takes about 2 hours.

Hotel

The hotel was built in 1915, in Art Nouveau style, on the basis of Alfred Hajos’s plans, who was the first Hungarian winner of the Olimpic Games. Guests can use the following services: guarded parking lot, elevator, 24-hour reception, safe (at the reception), baby-sitting service, laundry, gift-shop, program organising and beauty parlour (cosmetics, hairdresser, pedicure, manicure). Wireless internet access is available in the lobby and other common areas of the hotel, hot spot card can be purchased at the reception. The unique Glass Room awaits guests with the flavour of the Hungarian and the international cuisine. Vegetarian and dietetic food can also be requested.

Rooms

All rooms are equipped with a bathroom (bathtub / shower), hairdryer, telephone, minibar and television (with satellite channels). Some rooms have a balcony. Classic rooms are smaller, so these rooms cannot be equipped with an extra bed. They have modern furniture, the single beds can be put together upon request to create a double bed. The Superior rooms, built in Art Nouverau style in the Grand part, can be equipped with extra beds. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
