Romantic Hotel Kis Helikon **** is located in the famous Hungarian holiday resort, Heviz, which is on the South-Western coast of the Lake Balaton, only 5.5 kilometres far from Keszthely. The hotel, nestled in romantic, calm surroundings, can be approached easily from the main street of the town. The beautiful thermal lake of Heviz with its curative power is only a 5-8-minute walk from the hotel. The town offers not only bathing possibility, but there are several places which are worth visiting (e.g. The ruins originated from the Roman Times, the Heviz Gallery and Heviz Museum).
Hotel
The hotel dates back to the 1930's, its full renovation took place in 2002, but the building preserved its original charm. The two-storey hotel – no lift available – awaits guests from March till the end of November. Cars can be left in the closed parking lot. The restaurant has the capacity of 50 persons (opening hours: 7:15 am – 10:15 am és 17:00 pm – 22:00 pm), the menu contains fine meals from the international, Hungarian, vegetarian and dietetic cuisines, moreover fish specialities. Guests can choose from various cocktails of the cocktail terrace, which has a superb view. It is also suitable for meetings and events. The park, where 70-80-year-old lime trees stand, offers a pleasurable place for relaxation. With a short walk through the garden you can access the Rheuma Praxis, where a wide choice of medical treatments are available – after medical examination. Other services: safe (free of charge, at the reception), LAN Internet access in the lobby (laptop needed), fax, photocopy, dry-cleaning, car-rental, program organising, gift shop. The Business Studio is equipped with an oval table and chairs, it is suitable for meetings of maximum 12 members (technical equipment: flipchart, telephone, fax, video- and DVD player). Pets are not allowed.
Rooms
The pretty classic rooms (18-25 square metres) have oak furniture, private bathroom (shower or bathtub), satellite television (with Hungarian, English and German channels, radio stations), telephone, minibar (upon request), the floors are carpetted. Superior rooms are to satisfy all needs, besides classic facilities they have a balcony, hairdryer, bathrobes and welcome present. Nonsmoking rooms are at guests' disposal from both types. Room service between 7:30 am and 22:00 pm.
